Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – 1 of 1 found this helpful – Tue, 30 Jun 2015

Interviewed Jan 2015 in Walnut Creek, CA(took 17 days)
I received a phone call at 5:30 pm by a recruiter on a Tuesday. She told me about the position, pay and scheduled an interview for that Friday at 10am. Was instructed to meet in a room across from Gift Shop. 5 other prospects joined me. After about an hour and a half a manager came and got UA and told UA the interviews were moved upstairs. It was 2 gentlemen interviewing. Interview was only about 15 minutes. Asking basic questions. If I had experience, why do I like cleaning.... I asked specific questions when they asked if I had any questions for them. Was there anything that I said in the interview that would disqualify MW from getting position? And what is their exemplary employee? Also asked when I would be hearing back from them. They stated within a week. After a week I contacted the recruiter. Left a message. Called 3 days later. Said they would be making decision within another week. Waited another week and called recruiter back. She then told me that they decided not to go with me because they felt I would not be reliable. Which I thought was odd, since I practically advertised that I live down the street and they asked me 3 times did I have reliable transportation. I was not discouraged; just a bit disappointed. I have another interview tomorrow for a different position.

Initial interview was a panel of approx 9 people, including the hiring manager. If approved by the panel, a second interview with the Sr. Director was required as she had to approve of me as well. The panel interview included representation from several time, 2 of which were not related to the position for which I applied. The 2nd interview was held at the tower office. The director asked me several behavioral questions, and asked me why I wanted to work for Kaiser. The rest of the time was left open to me to ask her questions.

Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Wed, 1 Jul 2015

Interviewed Jun 2015 in San Jose, CA(took 16 days)
Recruiter called, did phone screen, then emailed computer medication assessment, then next was phone interview, then scheduled for 1:1 interview with a nurse manager. Was promised to hear back in 3 days- it's been 10 and nothing. I left message and email for recruiter, no response. So guess I didn't get it but really thought I had! Also regardless, would've great to at least receive response of no so I could process it and move on! Very disappointed at the lack of communication! It was a great experience until after the interview and now it's just like wow, really? So unprofessional! I don't want to apply for any other kaiser jobs it's just left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Interviewed null -1(took 30 days)
I applied online and received a call within a week. I had a phone screening with a recruiter first, then received call from a manager for an interview. I had a panel interview, set questions were asked (standard interview questions), and a lot of scenarios were given. It was a good opportunity to meet other staff and get a sense of the working culture. I was asked to provide references after the interview and reference were called within a week. There is an extensive background check after receiving and accepting a job offer. I was advised to double check my employment dates and salary, applicants will be automatically disqualified if employment dates are incorrect. Background check agency may ask for copies of W-2s. I assume they ask when they are unable to reach former employers. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I'm excited to be joining the agency.

This was a Kaiser position offered through a recruiting company. The interview was done completely through Kaiser. It was a group type interview and there were multiple rounds of questioning. There were 3 Directors there asking us various questions. People were sent home after each round, so you knew right away if you weren't chosen. We were told at the end whether we were picked for the position or not.

The interview process was great experience for me. It was my first phone interview and it was with 5 individuals. They all had great questions for me and were very eager to get to know me. They asked questions that were challenging, however, they were not overly challenging. They all were very informative when I asked them questions in return. Overall, it was a great first phone interview experience.

First you get a phone interview with HR, then a group interview and lastly a one to one interview. The group interview is not as intimidating as it sounds. It is just important to be prepared and study up on what the company does, what the job is, and bring more examples to the table. They want to see people who are willing to work hard and have a positive attired

Interview Questions
They asked for specific examples of my experience with technical health care projects. Also asked general questions to discern my understanding of technical issues in networks, servers, and applications. Each discussion covered other health care positions that outlined on my resume. The interview was pretty straight forward and formal. It was focused on my personality traits and work experience to gauge whether I'd be a good fit for the department. They also asked what drew me to the company and why I do the work I do. It wasn't the hardest interview, but it's best to be prepared by knowing the company's mission and function, and being confident in the skills you have.
