Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Tue, 28 Jul 2015

Interviewed null -1
Hard to get to the interview. I knew someone via a recommendation, but before an interview process occurs, one must pass the personality test. The personality test is by far one of the most pre-hiring tests that I have encountered. I am unsure whether or not I had to take one when I worked as a traveler with another KP, but it was stressful given that I really wanted the job.

Interview Questions
No specific interview questions, it was more so experience and what would you do. I will say be able to recall a time that you made a mistake and had to own up to it by having to notify the physician and charge nurse etc.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – Yes, but I declined – Tue, 28 Jul 2015

Interviewed May 2015 in Oakland, CA(took 42 days)
The interview process was fairly standard, it involved both phone screens and 1:1 interviews. The process was 1) Recruiter screening conversation and 2) Live interviews, an hour with each member of the 3 person team (all separate).

Interview Questions
After 3 rounds of interviews the recruiter said they would follow up. My experience was this.... the recruiter never followed up as promised, instead I received an automate email from KP saying that the position had been un-posted and then I saw another re-posting of the position with different responsibilities. When I followed up with the recruiter to inquire she ignored my questions and said that she would forward my question on to HR and so I never received a single response! How rude, unprofessional and sloppy!

Assessment tests, both in typing speed and medical terminology. Had to transcribe different accents. Had to show at least 99% accuracy on reports transcribed. The manager asked me what my availability was. He wanted to know how I handled conflict. It was pretty much the same as any other interview. Now they are all focused on the personality assessment tests.

Interview set up by consulting agency. Recruiter contacted me and did preliminary screening. Resume submitted directly to hiring manager. After a week, hiring manager contacted recruiter to set up interview date. Interview was very informal and took about 20 minutes mostly hearing about the position. Did not ask a lot of questions. Got an offer the very next day. The background check took about 3 weeks bec they requested a thorough background check.

Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Wed, 5 Aug 2015

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Denver, CO(took 2 days)
2 day interview. Included tour of the facilities. Was able to meet many of the specialists and upper management. Was required to give a formal presentation. I was provided a great deal of information about the company, its core values and approach to practice. I was also given the opportunity to ask a variety of questions. The interview considered both my professional experience but also my personality type and assessment of how I would fit in with the existing team members as well as how my own personal values and approach to practice matched with theirs.

Average Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Tue, 4 Aug 2015

Interviewed Jul 2015 in Los Angeles, CA(took 4 days)
I had a phone interview with the manager of marketing content. Seemed friendly and all went well. Then they sent out a writing test and said do this when you can. The test wasn't that hard--- writing a basic info sheet for a KP service based on the info they gave me. I had spent about 3 hours working on it, when they informed me they already selected a candidate. Early bird gets the worm apparently, but it was quite a shock and humiliation. Why make me work and jump hoops if you're not even going to take the time to consider my test? How much more poorly can a company treats applicants?

Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – 1 of 1 found this helpful – Mon, 10 Aug 2015

Interviewed Apr 2014 in Oakland, CA(took 7 days)
It went very quickly. No phone screens, but there was a questionnaire to complete. Everything seemed great until I got to the interview, although I was not well prepared because many of Kaiser's roles share the same generic job description no matter the department. The hiring manager was confrontational and not friendly, seemed unhappy in his/her own job, the job became more vague and horrible sounding, and the whole matter was rather disappointing. However, I suspect this was more indicative of this particular department and hiring manager than of Kaiser as a whole.

Average Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Mon, 10 Aug 2015

Interviewed Jul 2015 in Portland, OR(took 10 days)
Applied online, 24 hours later completed assessments, 48 hours after assessments email for interview. Went in for the interview(panel) and offered a contingent offer upon background and drug screen. Completed all this within the 48 hours I was required, and the next day I received a voicemail advising that the job offer had been rescinded due to my references. I have used the same references for my last 3 positions- and never a problem. I contacted all references and they stated that they never received a call from the screening group (First Advantage)? All previous references/managers and I are still in "good standing" and I have never left an employer other than resignation or lay off. CONFUSED!!!???!!!

Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Sun, 9 Aug 2015

Interviewed null -1 in Bangalore(took 20 days)
Interview happened way back in 2000. I was in India at that time. A full paper ad was run by Kaiser Permanente. They had advertized for IEF/Cool Gen, a rare skill at that time. Just by the ad itself, it was obvious that this was for a very rich company that had invested in right technologies. I replied for the ad to the consultant. It was followed up by the technical questionnaire and another questionnaire. After I filled up and sent these the interview was scheduled in a 5 star hotel in Bangalore. There were 2 rounds of interview both done by mature executives, one round technical, one round HR. After the interview process, after 2 weeks, consultant called with job offer with one salary figure and it was non negotiable. I felt that number was low for the high cost region such as california but it came with other benefits such as Green card Processing, Permanent Job in USA. Tried to negotiate the salary. But did not work. Hence accepted the offer because of benefits such as opportunity to work in USA, Greencard Processing, Permanent Job and an Excellent Relocation Package where they offered to relocate the entire house contents free of charge to USA. Relocation was done smoothly. After relocating all the items to USA, they even cleaned the packing materials and left the place. It was an excellent relocation and worked very well.

Average Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Wed, 12 Aug 2015

Interviewed Jul 2015 in Hillsboro, OR(took 21 days)
I applied online for one of the 100 positions to come available for the new call center. 2 days later, I received a request for an online skills test/call practice session. After passing this portion, I received a follow up email asking me to answer 5 situational questions. Another week goes by and I receive a phone call to set up an interview. I arrive at the local interview and of one of several people there for the interview that day (I probably saw about 10-15 people in my hour's time) I meet first with a current employee of Kaiser who is also a union steward. He tells me about the Kaiser position and the role that the union has with Kaiser. We talk about some general information. I am then called for my actual interview. I meet with two women in a large room where other interviews are going on. I am asked 6-8 questions, each interviewer taking turns asking me questions. Lastly, I am asked if I have any questions of them. I am asked to sit in the lobby and told I will meet someone from HR. The representative comes by and says she wants to make sure that she has the correct email and phone number for me so that they can be sure to contact me. She tells me that I will hear back on my status within 48 hours. I thought that the interview went really well and that I had a good rapport with the interviewers (interviewing is usually my strong area), but it has now been 2 weeks since I've had my interview and I've heard nothing. I left 2 messages for the new hire coordinator last week and neither has been returned. Information on the job posting said that a drug test and background check would be required before beginning employment, but I never reached that point.

Tell me 2 times where you went above and beyond a customer's expectations.

Please describe a situation where you had to deal with someone from a different culture.

Difficult Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Tue, 11 Aug 2015

Interviewed Jul 2015 in Atlanta, GA(took 19 days)
Started with an initial contact by a recruiter asking me to take an online diagnostic. The online diagnostic took approximately two hours to complete and consists of a logic section, personality section, and a multitasking test. The second step was a thirty minute behavioral phone interview with a recruiter. The third step was a take home case study which you are given 48 hours to complete which tests your ability to handle / manipulate data and draw conclusions through analysis. The fourth step was an on site interview consisting of two rounds; the first round was a discussion of the conclusions drawn from the take home case study, the second round was a behavioral interview with an analyst and the manager. They informed me the next step would be an additional interview, but I was cut at this point.

Interview Questions
Many questions from the logic section are very much like LSAT questions. Behavioral questions were very generic and included things like "where do you see yourself in five years?" "why healthcare?" etc.
