Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Thu, 3 Sep 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Oakland, CA(took 2 days)
I had a three part interview process: First interviewed with Senior Manager and then his direct reports (the team of peers for the position). I was called back to interview with another Senior Manager in whose organization the consultant position would be working. Passed the first set great but the second Manager did not see me having sufficient executive presence. I was more relaxed with this second manager as I thought that I had already been approved to move forward as a viable candidate. I was wrong...as the second manager told me at the end of the interview that "they were looking at other candidates." :(

Interview Questions
Questions were a lot about my relevant experience to the consultant position.

After applying online, I was emailed by the hiring manager about setting up a phone interview. He was accompanied by one other individual during the phone interview. The questions were mostly related to why I was interested in the position. A few questions were asked about my technical skills. They also spent a significant amount of time answering my questions about the position. They were friendly and professional throughout the interview.

Interviewed May 2014 in Berkeley, CA(took 1 days)
It was a pleasant exchange of what the department does, what they need, and some of the opportunities of their IT intern program. They asked me about my background and interests, and some technical questions that were relatively high-level. That includes languages worked with, what kinds of programming and other projects I've done, and what types of health care context and problems I've worked on.

Average Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Fri, 11 Sep 2015

Interviewed Mar 2014 in Oakland, CA(took 60 days)
I submitted a resume and cover letter, and was directed to a lengthy questionnaire. Weeks later, I got a phone interview, which I thought went quite well. I was given a final-round in-person interview with a panel of three interviewers. Not crazy-hard, I'm just an extremely awkward person. They asked the usual questions about why do you want this position, why are you qualified, etc. They also gave me a short SAS exercise, which did not go well, plus some case studies in which I had to think outloud and outline how I would approach the situation. Everyone was very gracious and pleasant.

Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Mon, 14 Sep 2015

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Sunnyvale, CA
Met with 3 people. A staff analyst, a senior analyst and a manager. the staff analyst asked questions that, frankly, had no answers unless you already worked at Kaiser. The senior analyst was more concerned about functional skills. The manager was evaluating for attitude. I told the staff analyst that I was coming up the ladder, not lateralling over; that seemed satisfactory. With the Sr Analyst I got into the nuts an bolts of how I would improve their current reporting processes. With the manager I spoke in general about the state of the industry segment and some of my previous assignments.

Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Tue, 15 Sep 2015

Interviewed Apr 2015 in Dallas, TX(took 10 days)
The requirement for the position was a high-school education, and I have more than that so they basically told me the things that they were in need of help of. They asked if I can do those things, and I said yes I could and the job was mine after that.

Interview Questions
They didn't ask me a single question aside from telling me their needs and asking if I could do those tasks. Definitely not a traditional interview in that sense however mine may have been an exception.

Two people from the department I applied for interviewed me through a video conference. It consisted of basic behavioral questions, lots of "tell me about a time when..." Most of them are pretty straightforward if you have multiple stories prepared (preferably using the STAR approach). The interviewers were friendly and conversational, so it was pretty comfortable.

Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Mon, 21 Sep 2015

Interviewed Jun 2014(took 88 days)
The interview process was long and drawn out. The hiring manager was rude and disorganized. I was unimpressed to say the least. After seven interviews and being told I would be receiving an offer soon, I didn't hear from anyone for 6 months. Then out of the blue, I get a call from a recruiter to initiate the entire process all over again. He didn't even know I had been interviewed before.

Difficult Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Mon, 21 Sep 2015

Interviewed Jun 2015 in Corona, CA(took 60 days)
The First process is you get an email inviting you to take 5 different test. From typing, personality test, math, grammar, and customer service. The test is long, it takes about an hour and a half to two hours depending on you. At the end of the test depending how well you do it will say your a match and that a recruiter should contact you. Within one week the recruiter contacted me for an interview. Basically it's two managers interviewing you and they both take turns asking you questions. They right everything down. There is hardly any eye contact. This experience was different. They ask A LOT of behavioral questions.

Interview Questions
1: What do u know about Kaiser & why do u want to work here. 2:What have you done over& beyond for a customer? 3:Have u ever experienced when someone went over and beyond to help you? 4: If someone comes back late from lunch how would you react? 5: If you can't find the answer what would you do? 6: Why makes you a good candidate for Kaiser ?
